McDonald’s McNuggets and Cheerios “Ancient Grains”

I came across the following two articles as I was searching the internet this morning. As usual it made me laugh as these companies sell cheap, low nutrition foods loaded with ingredients that do not promote health and vitality. But these days everyone is in a hurry, wants everything quick, and are not willing to take the time to cook fresh, whole foods that are tasty, nutrient dense, and easy to digest. When we are young we can get away with it to some degree(eventhough I see my students getting sicker and sicker each year) but as time goes on our eating habits catch up to us. I highly respect my wife who prepares fresh foods for our daughter everyday. Yes it takes alot of effort but just imagine how healthy your children will be if you make food a priority.

As for the new Cheerios cereal don’t be fooled by “Ancient Grains.” It’s just another dead food with not much nutrition.

You can read the articles below and watch the video and make up your own mind. I challenge everyone reading this right now to start to COOK MORE AT HOME. Start out with one cooked meal a day and then work your way up slowly. Anyone can cook a fresh dinner then have left overs the next day for breakfast or lunch. Make sure to carry a cooler around with you with tasty snacks that can keep your energy up throughout the day. Any of you can boil eggs or pack cheese and fruit to eat as snacks.
