Half of All Children Will Be Autistic by 2025, Warns Senior Research Scientist at MIT
“At a conference last Thursday, in a special panel discussion about GMOs, she took the audience by surprise when she declared, “At today’s rate, by 2025, one in two children will be autistic.” She noted that the side effects of autism closely mimic those of glyphosate toxicity, and presented data showing a remarkably consistent correlation between the use of Roundup on crops (and the creation of Roundup-ready GMO crop seeds) with rising rates of autism. Children with autism have biomarkers indicative of excessive glyphosate, including zinc and iron deficiency, low serum sulfate, seizures, and mitochondrial disorder.”

Smart Phone Syndrome ….Your Head May Fall Off!
What is Smart Phone Syndrome?
“SPS is a term to describe the repeated stress to the body (especially the neck) caused by excessive typing on handheld electronic devices. The syndrome usually begins in the cervical spine (neck) with the repeated stress of frequent forward head flexion while looking down at the screen of the handheld device for long periods of time; but since the entire body is connected via the fascia, SPS can be the direct cause of many other conditions. The average human head weighs 10-12 lb., as it is angled down to look at a phone, the effective weight on the neck increases. 0° = 12 lb., 15° = 27 lb., 30° = 40 lb., 45° = 49 lb. 60° = 60 lb. At 60 lb. imagine carrying an 8 year old around your neck several hours a day!”
Wood, Bugs, and Other Gross Things You Didn’t Know You Were Eating
Make sure you always know what you are eating. Read labels, call the manufacturer, do your own research. Some of these ingredients could be the very thing that is causing your digestive issues.
“Ever hear of shellac? It’s used in just about every industry where a shiny outer layer is needed, from pharmaceuticals to woodworking. But it’s also used to give lots of food, especially candies, that shiny shell. In order to make shellac, the sticky, sap-based secretions of a female lac bug are scraped from the bark of a tree before being placed into a canvas bag and heated until liquefied. The bark and insect parts stay behind and the shellac leaks through. It’s broken up into flakes, then dissolved in alcohol to bring it back to liquid state. In food, shellac is what gives the vast majority of the candies you eat (from Milk Duds to Whoppers to Raisinettes to Jelly Belly jelly beans) that shiny outer shell.”
Hookah Smoking Among Teens On The Rise, Despite Health Ravages
“The fact is, studies from Mayo Clinic show that, if anything, you get more exposure than cigarette smoking by smoking hookah, and the water in the hookah actually does not necessarily filtrate all these poisons,” Dr. Zyad Kafri, a hematologist-oncologist at St. John Providence Hospital, told CBS affiliate, WWJ Detroit. “And in general you get more exposure to toxic chemicals than cigarette smoking.”

Why BMI Is A Big Fat Scam
“There’s just one problem: A higher BMI doesn’t necessarily mean you’re less healthy. In fact, patients with heart disease and metabolic disorders whose BMIs classify them as overweight or mildly obese survive longer than their normal and underweight peers. A 2013 meta-analysis by the National Center for Health Statistics looked at 97 studies covering nearly 3 million people and concluded that those with overweight BMIs were 6 percent less likely to die in a given year than those in the normal range. These results were even more pronounced for middle-aged and elderly people. This is known as the obesity paradox. “The World Health Organization calls BMIs of 25 to 29.9 overweight,” says Paul McAuley, an exercise researcher at Winston-Salem State University. “That is actually what is healthiest for middle-aged Americans.”
“Physically fit sixth-graders — especially girls — are less likely to report feeling depressed when they reach seventh grade, according to a study presented at the American Psychological Association’s 122nd Annual Convention.”
I love how exercise can help with depression but let’s also teach the youth and everyone in general how to have a healthy body image. I am also not a big fan of the “body mass index” test they briefly mention in the article.

As a physical education teacher I am very blessed that I do not have to sit behind a desk all day. But there are times in my life where I do sit for long periods of time and since I have low back issues it is very important for me to sit with the right posture and make sure I am not developing forward head posture. ELDOA and Myofascial Stretching have really helped me with my back issues but I will get into that later.

Why French Kids Don’t Have ADHD
As a physical education teacher and practitioner it seems like every year the youth have more and more stomach issues. They eat tons of packaged foods and guess what they have in them? Yes GMO’s. More to come on this topic in the coming weeks.
